If you haven't been to see us before
We have decided to do things differently. First, we want to get to know you, hear about your past dental experiences and find out why you came to see us. Please let us know who referred you to our office so that we may send a thank you.
You can download our New Patient Form and save time when you come into the office. That way, we will have the full time to devote to your needs and to answer your questions. Please be as thorough as possible.
Everyone has expectations of their dental office, or of any business, and we want to hear from you what yours are. Does the thought of losing your teeth bother you? Are you interested in cosmetic procedures? Do your teeth hurt when you chew? Please be as specific as possible--we don't want to miss anything!
Your First Visit
After our meeting, we will begin to gather information. First, we will do a thorough visual cancer examination. Since 80% of us have some type of gum disease, and gum disease is the leading cause of tooth loss, that is where we start. We continue by examination your bite, jaw joints ("TMJ's") and muscles.
Many adults are concerned about improving their smiles, and we certainly don't want to forget that. Often, we will take digital photographs from several different angles to best visualize your smile.
At that time, we will have enough basic information to decide how best to proceed. For many adults, that includes a series of x-ray views of your mouth and teeth. Often, a set of models of your teeth will help us examine your teeth and bite in precise detail not possible in other ways.
Questions?
If there is any way that we can make your visit more comfortable, please let us know by phone or by e-mail.
